Description

The ylang-ylang flowers, with a sweet scent, deliver a heady essential oil even intoxicating as soon as they are cultivated because in the wild state, they do not smell anything. The name means “flower of flowers”. In the Comoros, in southern Africa, the plant was known as an intestinal antiseptic and it was used in the fight against malaria. His reputation as an aphrodisiac was born in Indonesia. The essential oil of ylang-ylang extra is the top fraction of the distillation. It lasts about two hours and is mainly used in perfumery .
