Description
The ylang-ylang flowers, with a suave scent, deliver a heady essential oil even intoxicating as soon as they are cultivated because in the wild state, they do not smell anything. In the Comoros, in southern Africa, it was traditionally used as an intestinal antiseptic and to fight against malaria. In the Philippines, flowers mixed with coconut oil kept fever and infections away.
