Description
The Egyptians used it during embalming for its surprising antiseptic properties. In Provence, it is called “farigoule” and its fragrance is immediately recognizable. Its name in Greek also means “I perfume”. The essential oil of thyme to thymol is obtained by distillation of flowering tops and its smell is very powerful. Its calming and cleansing properties are much appreciated. It is a food aroma of the highest order with its powerful fragrance, its warm notes which evoke the oppressive heat of Provence, in summer.
