Rosewood Essential Oil is obtained by distilling the leaves and twigs of a tree in the Amazon rain forest of Brazil. Its name “rosewood” comes from the pink to pink-red color of its wood.
This essential oil has experienced a very significant demand from the cosmetic and perfumery industry for its soft and flowery fragrance. Cutting was therefore prohibited.
