Description
St. John’s Wort is called “herb of Saint John” because its flowering is optimal at the end of June. Small translucent glands are located on the small oval leaves of the plant, giving the appearance of leaves full of holes, which gave it its name. The flowers of St. John’s Wort have been used since the dawn of time for their medicinal properties. The essential oil of St. John’s Wort is not to be confused with the oily skin softening macerate, whose uses are different.
