Chamomile essential oil is light blue or navy blue, depending on its chamazulene content. It is also called German chamomile. Matricaria comes from the Latin matrix which means uterus. The Egyptians used it against fever. In spring, it is from the fully bloomed flowers then dried that the essential oil is extracted. The essential oil is renowned for its calming properties .
